It is the transformation of a small residential house in the heart of the hamlet of Frizet, clinging to the side of the winding valley Vedrin, and part of a group of houses concentrated around the ruins of The Church of Saint Martin.
This small house belonging to the family of project owner for several generations has great sentimental value, however, the client needed more space and the house had to be enlarged. The typology of the existing building is characteristic of the region as well as the materials that compose it. The idea was to strengthen the typical character enlarging the house and working length this extension by a set of oblique cutting recalling roofs and traditional fixtures of the urban village.

The set of oblique cutting remind roofs and traditional volumes of the other houses of the village. The rubble of the main volume are preserved and the additional volume is made of cast concrete.
