From a construction point of view, the proposal is based on a construction system in timber frame filled with lime-hemp concrete with partition walls in CLT panels. We propose a modular model combining several construction methods. The basic principle is to use each material in the right place and in the right quantity and to take advantage of the strengths of each. The main construction material is wood because it requires few resources to produce, it is renewable and it acts as a carbon trap. It is available in timber frame when it is used for the basic frame. The advantage is the modularity and flexibility of the post-beam, its reproducibility. But also the saving of material. Unlike the pierced wall, the post-beam uses material where it is necessary, only. When it comes to building partition walls (dividing walls between dwellings), we favor the CLT wall which will allow the modules to be braced; it will also be used as a floor. Since these are continuous elements, the issue of managing CLT offcuts is avoided. This mixed wood structure is economical in raw materials and allows for prefabrication in the workshop and very rapid assembly.
