This low-energy single-family house located on the heights of Liège plays on local town planning codes. The volume arises on this very steep terrain by integrating the slope inside the house. We revisit the typical Liégeoise house by reversing the program. The living room is located on the top level while the bedrooms are located on the lower floors. In this way we optimize the views at each level. Light from the south, on the street side, enters the house via a glass staircase on the front facade. Worked as a space in its own right, it induces visual and spatial contacts between the different levels.
Work on the brickwork (imposed by town planning regulations) was carried out in order to filter the views from the street.
